Muslim Interested in Converting to Judaism
I am an israeli/american who made Aliyah in 2004… in 2009 I met my husband who is Egyptian and Muslim. He is interested in converting to Judaism and moving to Israel to be with me and build our lives there. His maternal great grandmother was Jewish and from Alexandria, but she converted to Islam when she married. My husband has no proof of this, other than the words that his now deceased great grandmother shared with him after he told her that he was beginning to question his faith and was considering Judaism. This happened about 2 years ago and he has been struggling with his faith for a while now. Unfortunately, there are no resources here (we live in one of the Gulf countries) for him to ask questions and learn about Judaism. Also, in Egypt, if he began to start asking questions, should the government find out, he would be endangering not only his own life but the life of his family. Can somebody please help us?
Because of the sensitive nature of your question would it be possible for us to email you with the email address you signed up with?
(you don’t have to repeat it, we already have it)
Of course… That would probably be better
